Gold Price in Pakistan Sees Slight Drop, Remains Near Record Peak
ISLAMABAD – The price of gold in Pakistan experienced a slight decline on Wednesday but continues to hover near its all-time high. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 200 per tola, settling at Rs. 358,100, compared to Rs. 358,300 on the previous day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 171, reaching Rs. 307,013 from Rs. 307,184. The price for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also dropped by Rs. 157, closing at Rs. 281,438 from Rs. 281,595.
Silver prices followed the downward trend, with per tola silver falling by Rs. 59 to Rs. 4,072, while 10 grams of silver slipped by Rs. 51, trading at Rs. 3,491.
On the global front, the international gold price dipped by $2, moving to $3,354 from $3,356. However, silver saw a rise in the global market, increasing by $0.59 to $38.39 from $37.80.
With the domestic gold rate still close to its historic peak, experts suggest that any major shifts will likely depend on global market volatility, currency exchange fluctuations, and investor sentiment.
